LORAC Mint Edition Collection Part 2

Welcome to part two of the LORAC Mint Edition Collection!

This part concentrates on the palette. I must note that I had a real hard time with lighting but tried my best to make the colors as accurate as possible. I’m still learning how to use my DSLR. <3

Mint Edition palette contains 3 shimmers and 3 mattes along with a coral pink shimmery blush.

Quality on these shadows are just as amazing as the LORAC PRO palette. I know what you might be thinking, “Well what about that mint shade? I bet it’s sheer and patchy.” Nope! This little cutie is smooth as butter.

On to the shadows! Shown with no primer.

First is a creamy beige that is matte but has sparkle. I’m a little confused as that is suppose to be one of the matte shadows. It does blend away though. The swatch shows  the actual color. Gosh that photo is embarrassing!

The second shade is a milky brown. It has such a silky texture! Perfect blending color. I compared this shade to Taupe from the Pro palette and this shade has a purple undertone.  For the life of me I could not get this color to show up because it’s so close to my skintone!

3rd is a really pretty minty green color. The star of the show! Great pigmentation, blends nicely, and not patchy or powdery!

The next two shades are a light purple and dark purple/pewter with heavy shimmer. Texture is amazing! The glitter is a little heavy on the darker shade so be aware for fall out.

The last shade is a GORGEOUS deep purple! Lighter than the purple in the PRO palette. I can’t get over how beautiful this shade is!

The blush is a beautiful, gorgeous, bright, cheery coral pink. The texture is a bit harder than the eye shadows but nonetheless great pigmentation. When blended out on the skin it gives off a very healthy sheen on color. I had no trouble dipping my brush into the color. With one sweep of my MAC 129 the color grabbed on easily. If this is the quality on all LORAC blushes I really need to look into them more!

Overall, I think this was a great buy. I have absolutely no complaints on the quality of this collection. It’s a nice little palette to have for spring and the on going “mint” trend of the season.

Some might find it hard to pull off the mint color, but it’s not hard! Try it on the inner corner of your eyes, as a liner, or maybe some blended in the crease. Don’t be afraid to play with some color!

Just a small rant..when I purchased this I was suppose to receive a deluxe sample of the LORAC Behind the Scenes primer and even asked the cashier for it. She said it was in the box..which I shouldn’t of believed and should of checked. Blah! I really like using that primer, plus I love samples!

So, what are YOUR thoughts? I’m listening!

I love Lorac’s shadows – they’re so soft and pigmented. The mint is such a beautiful shade!

Just found your review after picking this up from ulta. I wanted something to travel with and had pastels and this is perfect!! Thank you for the swatches. I’ve never used lorac before so I was worried about the purchase, but it seems I made a good one. :)

You won’t be disappointed! Did you receive a free deluxe sample of the primer?

I never even knew you’d reviewed this! I just googled for reviews and saw your site and was so excited! I love this! I like this smaller palette even more than the expanded one at Sephora b/c this one contains everything I’d want and actually USE but it’s more compact and costs less! Plus I can pick up the GLOgetter palette at Ulta.com for a cool $20 buckeroos at the same time! Thanks so much for the swatches and review, girl! This was just what I was looking for!
